Now, y’all know I love a good Everyday Board (sometimes it’s as fancy as charcuterie and sometimes it’s not), but I love making a breakfast board for the family. Last weekend, Chris slept in and all the kids wanted a different breakfast.
“Mom, I want biscuits.”
“I want bacon.”
“Can I have blueberry muffin tops?”
I try my best to accommodate the kids’ palettes, especially for Saturday morning breakfast. Because everyone wanted a little bit of everything, I decided a breakfast board would be best.
This oversized paddle board has served me so well. I’ve had it for 5 years and it makes everything from breakfast boards to charcuterie boards for the holidays look so good.
Because it’s fall, apples and pears are so delicious. I sliced some up and added the requested breakfast items to the board with some cheese. While this took an extra 10 minutes to make look presentable versus throwing it all on a plate, the aesthetically pleasing result was well worth it.
Feel free to use this as inspiration when you make a board for your family. I always say, “Make it your own and make it MAGIC.” Here’s what I put on the breakfast board for the weekend:
Blueberry muffin tops
Biscuits
Bacon
Sausage
Grapes
Sliced apples
Sliced pears
Sliced plums
Tangerines
Colby jack cheese
Granola
Whipped cream
Butter
Strawberry jam
This is great when you have overnight guests or brunch and you need to prepare breakfast for a large group. A weekend breakfast board is always a hit.
