Yesterday, Caliana had science fair finals (top 3 in kindergarten!), Christian had a Mother’s Day picnic and Maizah had her gymnastics showcase.

Tomorrow, Maizah has a band recital, Caliana has a field trip, and Christian has field day.  

The way May is set up, I use my to-do list every single day. It’s never fancy – just effective which is, just the way I like it. To-do lists help you keep tabs closed in your head. 

That’s exactly what we discuss in this week’s podcast – the power of a to-do list.

When you don’t use it to your advantage, your to-do list can do more harm than good. 

Society has forced you to believe that the more on your to-do list, the more productive you are. Not only is it not the truth, but your laundry list of to-do’s is overwhelming you. 

It’s all about doing less better. 

Just because you have a to-do list doesn’t mean things will get done. It’s about using it wisely. It’s not about doing every single thing, every single day. That just isn’t realistic or sustainable. 

When you put more than 5 things on your list, it starts to get congested and unfocused, which causes more stress than productivity. 

On average, people have about 15 projects going on at a time. You read that right – FIFTEEN. But they still have to get done one task at a time.

To-do lists can help you maintain awareness of your tasks (and projects!), which makes you clear and focused, and therefore, you get things done. Keeping your list to 3 to 5 tasks allows you to have intentional productivity.

That’s the MAGIC of your to-do list. They work best when you keep things simple and relevant.
