Since I put together my spring capsule wardrobe, my new favorite piece to wear is a blazer. I’m just at a stage in my life where I can justify wearing a blazer with anything – a skirt, sweatpants, a dress, trousers and even jeans. It can easily make a casual outfit look more put together and also dress down a fancy look. It looks great on every body type and size and for the most part, it’s a timeless wardrobe piece.

I recently purchased a neutral blazer (sold out; but similar here) and was excited to see how many looks I could get out of it. Of course, there’s so much more I could do with it than what’s in this post. Here’s how I wear 1 blazer, 5 ways.
Blazer + Black Tee + Khaki Trousers
BLAZER // MANGO (sold out; found similar for $35!) — SHIRT // ASOS — PANTS // ASOS — SANDALS // Nordstrom — GLASSES // Quay x Desi Perkins — BAG // Brahmin
I actually posted this look on Instagram last week and so many of you thought it was a suit! It’s not, but these pants go so well with this blazer. I love that these pants look good with heels or sneakers. The black tee contrasts really well with the light neutrals. Plus, black t-shirts make a lot of sense for me nowadays with 3 kids and all their messes. These glasses aren’t just cute, but they’re blue light glasses – so they’re good for fashion and function. With this look, I almost went with a black bag because of the shirt, but thought this cognac leather bag would look good with it. Turns out, I was right.
I’d wear this to a brand meeting or switch out the heels for sneakers and wear this to pick up the kids from school.
Blazer + Striped Tee + Leopard Pants
BLAZER // MANGO (sold out; found similar for $35!) — SHIRT // Target — PANTS // MANGO — BAG // Givenchy
Leopard print is totally a neutral in my book (it really does go with everything!) so when I saw these pants, buying them was a no brainer. I’m all about mixing prints, so I love how the stripes and leopard print play against each other. Surprisingly, it’s not too busy.
I’d wear this to church. (Said the millennial.)
Blazer + Gray Hoodie + Sweatpants
BLAZER // MANGO (sold out; found similar for $35!) — HOODIE // Target (similar) — SWEATPANTS // Wal-Mart (similar) — BAG // Rebecca Minkoff — SNEAKERS // ADIDAS
When I put this look together, I was so excited about it. It definitely gives me huge work from home vibes. And if I needed to run out to the store, throwing on some sneakers easily completes this look. I’m amazed by how great a blazer looks with a hoodie and sweatpants. After seeing this ensemble come together, I’m convinced that blazers can do no wrong. I kept the colors light for spring but this in all black would also be so good no matter the season. I’d wear this to travel, run errands or lose the shoes and wear it to work from home.
Blazer + Gray Tee + Jeans
BLAZER // MANGO (sold out; found similar for $35!) — SHIRT // ASOS — BAG // Brahmin — SHOES // Schutz — WATCH // Timex
Probably my favorite look out of all of these. Jeans and a blazer in my new uniform. You can make it look casual, chic or work friendly – and I do just that. I’m all about versatility. These straight jeans from A. Golde are my new favorite pair of jeans. They’re true to size and fit me perfectly. Jeans can be hit or miss, so I was happy I could fit back into these comfortably after having Christian. I’d wear this to go to lunch with my sister, who would try to steal these jeans from me. I wouldn’t blame her.
Blazer + Leopard Dress
BLAZER // MANGO (found similar for $35!) — DRESS // H&M — BAG // Brahmin — SANDALS // Nordstrom
Last but not least is the blazer + dress combo, which doesn’t get enough credit. For those moments where you’re cold, but it’s not cold enough for a coat, the blazer is a nice touch. I especially love how the leopard print pops more than usual against the color of the blazer. Because I’m short, I typically wear this blazer (and most blazers) with the sleeves scrunched up. That way the boyfriend silhouette of the blazer doesn’t bombard me and look too big. Little styling tricks like that go a long way. I’d totally wear this to a daytime influencer event.
I absolutely love all these looks Mattie!!!!
