I still love style, fashion and beauty, but with 3 kids I had to tweak my everyday style just a bit. Be clear, you can still look great and casual on those days that you have to run the kids around, grab groceries and tackle some errands. I used to believe that once I became a mom all of a sudden my love for clothes and accessories would go away. Turns out I was wrong. But, I certainly don’t wear heels as much as I used to.

For my everyday style, I always do my best to still look “together.” As tempting as it is to wear sweats everyday (especially because I work from home), if I want to get things done and be productive, getting dressed is required. Plus, I’ve gone out of my way to build a wardrobe that I really like.
I truly believe in buying pieces that flatter your shape and size (I’m currently a size up since Christian has been born) and timeless + versatile pieces. Things like a trench coat, leather jacket and slip dress will serve your wardrobe for seasons to come. Those types of pieces look good whether you dress them up or down.
My “cool mom” style is taking looks I could easily wear with heels and pairing them with a flat option like combat boots, white sneakers or bow flats. And because it’s spring, I’m all about layering. You’ll notice in my looks below that almost all of them are layered. Layering pieces is the cheat code to look more together and transitioning your look in between seasons or from day to night or even morning to afternoon.

LOOK 1
TRENCH // Everlane — TOP // Target (similar) — JEANS // A. Golde — SNEAKERS // Adidas — BELT // Gucci
I love a trench coat because it’s just so classic and works for every season in my opinion. It’s a part of my spring capsule wardrobe because you will find me wearing it on rainy days or cooler spring days with a striped top and straight jeans. My Stan Smiths are so clutch because they go with everything.

SWEATER // ZARA (old) — JEANS // H&M — BOOTS // ZARA (similar)
This oversized sweater is just the gift that keeps on giving. I paired it with some high waisted black skinny jeans and combat boots. If I wouldn’t be judged I would wear this look everyday until it gets HOT hot. Because the sweater is v-neck you can wear it off the shoulder or as is. A great way to transition this look from day to night.
LOOK 3
COAT // TOPSHOP — PANTS // ASOS — SWEATER // H&M — SNEAKERS // Adidas — BAG // Staud
This jacket is one of my favorite finds from this season. A camel, pinstripe coat? Yes, yes, and yes. It’s just so good. I wore it over a off white knitted sweater and chinos with – you guessed it – white sneakers. This clear and camel bag has been a fave since last season and I see myself wearing it again all spring and summer.
LOOK 4
JACKET // MANGO — DRESS // ZARA (similar) — BOOTS // ASOS (old – similar) — BAG // Givenchy
If all black is your thing, this look is your ministry. I’m a firm believer in a slip dress and this black one goes with every single thing. I wore it with my leather jacket – this one is so good – and my leopard print chelsea boots I got 4 years ago. All black with a pop of leopard print will always be considered a success to me.
LOOK 5
HAT // ZARA (old – similar) — SWEATER // MANGO — JEANS // H&M — FLATS // ASOS — BAG // c/o Brahmin
In case you were wondering, colorblocking is still a thing and even works with neutrals. This sweater just pops and does all the heavy lifting of looking good for you. I wore this in real life on a rainy day, so I paired it with a black hat and bow tie flats. It’s just a great look to run around in, and on those days I’d be lucky enough to have date night with Hubs – I’d do the same look without the hats and some heels.
