Getting Dressed with Jumping Beans

I’m sure I’m just like any mom of a two year old when I say I have the most active toddler on the planet. Maizah is the most fun, energetic and fantastic two year old ever. She’s very active with a lot of personality, so I try my best to dress her accordingly. I have to admit, I’m crazy about all of the crazy colors kids’ clothing come in sometimes, so when Kohl’s asked us to give their Jumping Beans line a try, I was up for the challenge.

While I am a girl’s girl, I’m not eager to put Maizah in pink. Or even ridiculous overly girly dresses. It’s just not her style. She does enjoy flowers and the color mint, so we gravitate towards those things. Especially for everyday, we aim for function not just fashion.

When I saw this butterfly printed Jumping Beans dress, I just knew that Maizah had to have it. Even it’s February, it’s in the 60’s almost daily and mint is her go to color. (And how cute are those butterflies?!) It’s also a great layering piece. I can easily pair it with a cardigan for her to wear to church or a denim jacket if she goes out to dinner with the family. But even alone, it’s so easy, breezy with a girly touch.

Now, we’re totally into prints here – mixing and matching does not intimidate us. When it comes to her playing around whether inside with her cousins or outside at the park, we keep it simple with a top and leggings. In this case, she thought it was necessary to stand on her changing table to show off her look. Gray is one of my favorite colors to put her in because it goes with every color and works for any season. The flower print in this Jumping Beans shirt contrasted with the polka dot Jumping Beans leggings perfectly. Both pieces are super appropriate for this freakishly early spring like weather going on here, and apparently it’s quite the look to dance in if you ask Maizah.

Without a doubt, I’ll be heading back to Kohl’s for more Jumping Beans pieces for Maiz. They are perfect for everyday and I love how they mix and match! Here are some more of our favorites:
