While it has weirded me out a bit because it’s January, I’m totally not against this 70(ish) degree weather going on in Atlanta. The sun is blazin’ bright, like a spotlight.

In typical Atlanta form, some days it’s 40 degrees and other days it’s 70. If you ask me, I prefer the 70 degree days. When we shot this, it was actually perfect – 65 and breezy. If you were going off the blue in the sky and warmth of the sun, you would’ve sworn it was April.

The breeze will get to you whenever it is under 70, so layers are a must. (Even in Atlanta in January.) I almost forgot about this midi dress from ZARA I got a few seasons ago and decided to pair it with my favorite cardigan also from there. I didn’t know how the weather would play out, so brought a black turtleneck to wear underneath. You’d be surprised the many ways you can work a cotton, fitted turtleneck under some of your favorite pieces in your closet. Case in point.

It was quite bright during this shoot, and while I usually hate how it can make my pictures look, this gave it a “mood.” The bright sun bouncing off of these black walls as it began to set really brought out the little bit of metallic in my dress. And these boots have been so good to me since September when I scored them while filming my commercial for Burlington. Love!

Working hard and getting adjusted to the new changes the new site has brought. New URL, new podcast, new social handle, new approach! Lots of work, but super excited to hear what you guys think about it.
