Family Fall Style with DSW

With Fall here, I was super excited to go shopping for boots for the family. I’m an ankle boot girl, so when I saw the fall line up at DSW, I was excited to get my hands on some. Maizah is finally at that age where she’s interested in what she’s wearing, so finding her boots for fall was fun and a lot more intentional this season.

Anyone with a toddler knows their feet grow so fast, so while I’m all about getting Maizah quality shoes, they need to be affordable. That’s why DSW is my go to, because they have a variety of brands but keep everything reasonably priced.

When I saw these Impo ankle boots, I knew I had found my everyday ankle boot. The stacked heel caught my eye immediately. At 6 months pregnant if I’m going to do a heel it MUST be stacked. And I’m old school. I like my boots black. Easy to pair with most looks in my wardrobe.

For Maizah, when I saw these Carter’s lace up boots, I knew they would be perfect for her. Not only are they trendy – hello, patent leather & patches (that say girl power and have an emoji) – but the sole is super sturdy for those inevitably cold or rainy days that autumn brings. They go with everything – they just went with her tulle skirt perfectly.

I’m all about a day to date look, so on date nights, I’ll swap out my ankle boots for a dressier pair like these Mix No. 6 satin dress sandals. The satin make them more for evening and still go with the midi dress I’m wearing. These are certainly “sitting shoes” – you know the kind of shoes you wear when you know you’ll be doing a lot of sitting. Hey, this is the kind of place where we can be honest with one another.

Nowadays when I shop for shoes, I end up buying for everybody in the family. And regardless of who it’s for – me, Hubs or Maizah – it needs to be on trend and season appropriate. No one gets that more than DSW, who makes shoe shopping for fall a stress free occasion.
