Let’s talk about my June favorites. June flew by, right? And it seems like July is following suit (how is it mid-July already?!). Last month I discovered a couple of new beauty products that I am so excited to share with you. Below you will find my 10 favorite beauty products from June. (And subscribe to my YouTube channel!)
Josie Maran Pro-Retinol Body Butter
First up is a product I discovered by simply reading the reviews on Sephora. I was looking for a lotion that got me excited about moisturizing after I got out of the bath of My skin felt noticeably firmer and so hydrating after using this for a week. It really doesn’t have that much of a smell.
La Beautyologist No Drip Cleansing Cuffs
My absolute favorite product of June hands down without question. I honestly do not know how I was functioning without these. I hate when water runs down my arms when I am washing my face. These stop it and prevent washing my face from becoming a big wet mess. They come in four colors and are currently on pre-sale because they sold out the day they dropped FOR GOOD REASON.
Supergoop Glow Screen
I am huge fan of Supergoop and I have been wearing Glow Screen pretty faithfully for the last couple of years. It gives such a great glow on your skin before makeup. Most recently, I started putting this on at the end of my skincare routine as usual but waiting about 10 minutes before applying my makeup and it really seeps into my skin making a great prepped base for my foundation. I like wearing this with or without makeup – it really just makes your skin look and feel good.
Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Raisin Rum
This was one of those products I received in PR last year and rediscovered in June. It is such a lovely formula with great shine. I typically do more shiny or glossy lip products in the summer and the Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Rum Raisin is perfect. The color, the formula, the shine. Yes, yes and yes. And it’s one of those cheap and cheerful drugstore beauty finds that works for everyone. I have worn this non stop since rediscovering it.
Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm
Speaking of lip products that are shiny, I really have been enjoying the Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm. It smells like vanilla goodness and leaves your lips so soft – I like to wear it at night so I wake up with soft lips for the day. I don’t know if it’s the tube I got but my only issue with the product is that sometimes it will overflow from the tube and get all over the cap, but it’s nothing a damp paper towel can’t handle in a few seconds.
Lancôme Teint Idôle Ultrawear Makeup Stick in Suede (510)
My friends from Lancome sent me the most generous PR package a couple of months ago and included the Teint Idole Ultrawear Stick in Suede Cool (510) which I have been using as a cream contour. I really wanted the NARS Bronzing Cream but it sold out everywhere until recently and when I gave the Ultrawear Stick a try it blended out beautifully and the color really worked for me.
Pat McGrath Divine Blush in Cherish
Without question, the Pat McGrath Divine Blush in Cherish is a dream. If you like blush, like I do, this is the product for you. Here is the warning I must give: a little bit goes a long way. You need just a slight brush of this because the color pay off is real. The color Cherish is a bright, rich pink which is the kind of shade that screams summer to me. It’s so good – I have it on now.
Ole Henriksen Pore Balance Facial Sauna Scrub
I talked about how great this scrub was in an earlier monthly favorites video this year, but had to bring it back up. Making sure my pores are clean during the warmer months – or any month, if we’re being honest – is so important to me. In the summer, my pores are up against my makeup, plus the oils from my face and sweat so I have been consistently exfoliating with this scrub a couple of times a week and my skin has felt really good. It has AHA’s, glycolic acid and lactic acid which is great for dullness & uneven texture. The product heats up when you rub it into your pores for a few seconds and then cools off leaving this wonderful sensation. It’s still my go-to exfoliator.
Dior Backstage Glow Face Palette in Copper Gold
I have a multitude of highlighters. It’s almost embarrassing at this point. And even so, I keep using my Dior Backstage Glow Face palette. This is in the shade Copper Gold which is not available on Sephora or the Dior site. I think this has to be a couple years old because it’s only available on sites like Overstock.com and Temptalia. I use this thing every single time I put on makeup. It is so good. No chucky glitters, just a smooth and easy highlighter.
Dr. Teal’s Matcha Bubble Bath
I didn’t see a matcha bubble bath being on my 2021 Bingo card but here we are. Dr. Teal’s Matcha Bubble Bath smells like heaven. It’s so therapeutic, foams up beautifully and is so relaxing. I take a bath 3-5 times a week and even though I have their bubble bath in several scents, this is one I gravitate towards every single time. If you’re looking for a new bubble bath, this is the one to try.
That does it for my June favorites – what has been your favorite beauty product of the summer so far?
