Kimonos are certainly a go to trend for the summer and now I totally see why. They’re easy, breezy and…wait for it…beautiful.

I will say that as much as I like getting dressed and wearing great clothes, I can certainly do without all of the fuss every now and again. Sometimes, a statement dress can be too heavy and the texture of it can look better than it feels. And with the warm weather of the summer, it’s too hot to be inconvenienced by all the hoopla on a daily basis. For every day, I certainly do want to look nice but have it a little easier. Cue the kimono. They come in an array of colors with this gorgeous floral print (they come in a variety of prints as well in case florals aren’t your thing). Now, just about everyone is selling kimonos – ASOS, ZARA, TOPSHOP, etc. – but I found this one for less than $20 on Amazon. It is awesome.

I’m not typically a blue kinda girl, but there was something about this royal hue with pink flowers that stood out to me. It made the earrings pop (always a good thing) and effortlessly blew in the wind thanks to the late spring breeze. This with a bodycon dress for date night or even over your swimsuit for a day at the beach? All wins. I have to say, I’m probably going to grab 2 or 3 more of these in different colors, mix and match them with various pieces in my closet and make them the go-to piece for summer.
