It’s that time of month again where I get to ramble about my favorite products of the month in a YouTube video. This month, my list of favorites was modest. There’s a skin care product, a self care product and a handful of makeup products I discuss. They’re all worth talking about, so I got kinda chatty in this one. Watch my March 2020 Favorites video and shop the products in the links below. Of course, if you haven’t already, subscribe to my YouTube channel.
TULA THE CULT CLASSIC PURIFYING CLEANSER
I’m such a huge fan of the TULA The Cult Classic Purifying Cleanser because it gets my skin super clean without stripping it. It also smells amazing. I can use it in both my morning and evening skincare routines and it leaves my skin feeling balanced and refreshed. I use it with my Mary Kay Skinvigorate Cleansing Brush to make sure my pores are super clean. (Important!) Easily one of my favorite skincare products this year! (If you shop for the cleanser or any TULA products, use discount code MATTIE for 15% off until the end of April!)
PHILIPS SONICARE DIAMONDCLEAN 6100 TOOTHBRUSH
If I’ve learned anything, it’s that oral care is self care. And when you’re stuck in the house like most of us are nowadays, taking little things like brushing your teeth to the next level goes a long way. That’s why the Philips Sonicare Diamondclean 6100 Toothbrush is a fave this month. I recently partnered with Philips Sonicare for their new subscription service where they send you a new toothbrush (in your first box) and replacement brush heads every 3 months. You can learn more about it here. This toothbrush is amazing. It has 3 settings – Clean, Whiten and Gum Care – which is great depending on what your needs are. It leaves your mouth CLEAN clean.
L’OREAL BAMBI EYE MASCARA
Even though I wear strip lashes whenever I wear makeup, wearing a good mascara on my real lashes helps my makeup look even better. When I received the new L’Oreal Bambi Eye mascara in PR, I used it immediately because L’Oreal is known for their mascaras. This doesn’t disappoint. It gives your lashes length just like Bambi and comes in both regular and waterproof formulas.
FENTY BEAUTY FLYLINER in “Cuz, I’m Black”
Rihanna for president in 2020, not only because of all the good she’s doing in the world, but also in my makeup. The Fenty Beauty Flyliner is so good. It’s the quintessential liquid liner and it’s blackity black black, which is the only way I like liquid liner. Be aware – it dries fast. And it stays put. This is certainly not the kind of liner you try to wash off with your facial cleanser (you’ll be tugging at your eyes forever – which is not a good look). You definitely want to use eye makeup remover for this liner. But the tip of this liner is perfect and can help even the most novice achieve a pointed winged cat eye.
CHARLOTTE TILBURY L.I.P.S.T.I.C.K. in “Bitch Perfect”
Finding the perfect nude lipstick is always a task if you ask me. So when I discovered the Charlotte Tilbury L.I.P.S.T.I.C.K. in “Bitch Perfect” I was hooked. It’s not too pink or too brown, which some nude lipsticks can come across against my complexion. It’s that perfect peachy nude tone. I can wear it alone or with gloss and/or lipliner and it just works. This has been my go to lipstick for the last couple of months!
ZARA LOW HEELED LEATHER ANKLE BOOTS WITH PEARLS
Love these boots so much. I talked about how to style them 5 different ways last month and I think you can get use out of them in the spring too. If we’re allowed outside. They go with everything from denim to slip dresses and even skirts. The pearl detail on them are my favorite!
