Wearing perfume is something I’ve loved since I was a little girl because my mom always had such a vast collection. What drew me to her perfume was that they were always in such beautiful bottles which always caught my attention anytime I walked by her vanity.
Lately, I’ve been loving a handful of fragrances and grown loyal to them. Not only do they smell so good, but the bottles are Instagram friendly, too. And I stan for a product that is both good and looks good. Maizah loves watching me put perfume on when I’m headed out and she’ll ask for a little and admire the bottles as well. It’s cool to see that experience come full circle.
Here are my current fragrance favorites (in no particular order):
If I’m being honest, I had seen Byredo Gypsy Water all over Instagram and Pinterest forever before purchasing it myself. Hubs bought it for me last Christmas. At first, I really wanted it for Instagram photo ops, but it smells so, so good. To me it has this sweet scent with just a hint of spicy. And while it’s a light scent, it lingers and stays with you all day. It was certainly my everyday fragrance for a couple of months when I first got. I love how minimal the packaging is. It definitely adds a level of aesthetic when you put it in a flatlay or photo.
Diana Vreeland Daringly Different
Last year, I received a PR package with a variety of all the Diana Vreeland fragrance samples. They asked me to pick my favorite and they’d send me the full size bottle. It was easier said than done because all the DV fragrances are so good, but in the end I went with Diana Vreeland Daringly Different. It’s the type of scent that screams you’re a grown ass woman and never forget it. The bottle is dark and chic with a gold tassel that adds a nice touch. They recently sent me the candle version and it is also fantastic.
Whether or not you’re into fragrances, you’ve probably heard of Viktor&Rolf Flowerbomb. And the hype is real. It’s that good. It’s such a feminine, soft yet luxe scent that stands out. I’m into scents that don’t necessary scream at you, but make you remember them. Flowerbomb is totally it. It’s a warm and sweet perfume with key notes of jasmine, orange blossom and patchouli. If pretty bottles is your thing, this is your kind of perfume.
Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb Nectar
You may be thinking that adding another Flowerbomb fragrance is redundant, but I’m ok with that. The Viktor&Rolf Flowerbomb Nectar is so divine because while it has similar elements of the original scent, the nectar version has a slight fruitiness that makes it more day and summer friendly. The scent is fruity meets floral with key notes of osmanthus, orange blossom, gun powder accord. Because pink is my favorite color, the hue of the perfume and bottle shape is probably my favorite out of all these fragrances.
