Summer Blues

Maxi dresses are such a treat in the summer. You can dress them up or down and they keep you surprisingly cool. I prefer the kind with pretty prints and with a wrap silhouette like this one because they compliment all shapes and sizes.

I can’t believe that June is almost over. With summer officially starting this week (even though it has felt like it for over a month), I’m excited to break out my cut off shorts, sleeveless tops and maxi dresses. As someone short or petite, I’m super grateful that maxi dresses work on any shape or size. When I’m shopping, I tend to gravitate to maxi dresses with prints, wrap around (so it hugs your waist making you look more snatched than usual) and/or with a slit so that summer breeze keeps me cool. This one is going to be a part of the Mattie James shop and I can’t wait for you guys to get your hands on it. This blue is so pretty. Makes me want to wear blue all summer long.
