With Halloween right around the corner (30 days away!), I decided to try this trail mix recipe on the kids after school this week. I’ve never given them trail mix before (or even made it myself), so I thought the best way to introduce them to them would be in a festive way for Halloween.
This recipe is so easy that I plan on trying this again next year.
I knew I didn’t want anything ingredient intensive – I tried to keep it all dry ingredients with minimum prep time and this trail mix recipe does just that.
You know me – I wanted this to be tasty AND aesthetically pleasing, so the ingredients while simple also look good in my opinion. I also used this large glass jar with a lid to store it in so we could eat it throughout the season.
Here’s what you need and how to make the easiest Halloween trail mix:
INGREDIENTS
Pretzels snaps (16 oz bag)
Ghoul Mix M&M’s (one bag
Candy corn (I used one bag of Brach’s)
Salted peanuts (¾ of 16 oz jar)
Sprinkles (5.6 oz bowl)
Chocolate Chex cereal (used ¾ of a box)
DIRECTIONS
In a large deep bowl, pour all of your ingredients and mix with a large spoon. Then pour into large glass jar with lid or cover bowl with lid to keep trail mix fresh for days.
We plan on eating from this throughout the season since everything in it can last for weeks before becoming stale.
Enjoy!
