Hope all of you had a fantastic Memorial Day weekend! Yesterday was my birthday and my parents flew in from North Carolina to celebrate with our family. But now, it’s back to work.

This long weekend was fantastic. We had a big family cookout and such a good time. It’s alway a little bittersweet coming back to work from a 3 day weekend: you’re happy you had it but you don’t want it to end. I try my best to be grateful for the time versus grunting about it being over.
While I work for myself, I try my very best to get dressed – even on days I don’t have to take photos or film video – and look appropriate for work. It’s very easy to get comfortable, but I’ve been making an effort the last few weeks to look – at the very least – work casual. Some slacks with a cute blouse and everyday friendly makeup gives me an extra pep in my step for my work day. If it was up to me, I’d be makeup free in house shoes daily. But, the extra effort in my look always ends up being worth it.
