I am a total sucker for little black dresses. And this one from Rent The Runway (which you should get into if you haven’t already!) is a win. You know I’m all about showing my shoulders – I’m obsessed with off the shoulder tops and dresses – but the cut out shoulder look is something I love too! And while an LBD is good, black on black can be a little monotonous. So I was excited to wear my new gray sandals with this dress. (I wore them here with a halter top set.) While I love color, neutral looks has been more my go to the last few months. Maybe it’s something with age (I’ll be 33 in May).

Whew. What a week. We’re rocking and rolling in April. I’ve had insane productivity these last few days. Getting more clear on what the site is going to bring in Q2 and getting clear on processes. I’ll share more about that later. Let’s talk about this dress.

I still like color, but a great black dress like this one with a gray sandal serves as the perfect outfit canvas – it allows my leopard print bag and mirrored sunnies stand out. And if you play around with texture, colors like black, gray, beige, mauve and even olive, can really pop. Besides, neutrals are always in style.
