In 2022, the most valuable lesson I learned is that the MAGIC is me.
Not how much money I made.
Not how many followers I have.
Not because of my marital status.
Not because of the things I have.
Last year, I learned that in addition to loving yourself, liking yourself will truly navigate the decisions you make and how you handle things that happen to you.
I like myself more than I did ever before because I did a lot of work understanding myself. Thanks to prayer & seeking the Word, thanks to therapy and thanks to listening more than I spoke.
I also slowed down – at least in my own version – to get clear about who I actually was when no one was looking.
I’m deliberately encouraging with my words.
I’m willingly giving.
I’m wildly creative.
I always root for others to win.
I enjoy being kind in a way that catches people by surprise.
Making things presentable makes my heart sing.
I take baths very seriously.
Listening is something I have to work really hard at.
I’m good at forgiving and forgetting while still learning the necessary lesson.
I’m great at recovering because of my commitment to living joyfully.
I take things seriously but not personally.
My heart is CLEAR.
I live my life in a way that prayerfully sets my children, grandchildren & the next 7 generations of my family up for success.
What a treat it is to be me even before the accomplishments, the titles and the followers.
That is what 2022 gave me: self-likeness. I’ll always be thankful to it for that. ❤️
